Drawing on many years of experience in providing redundant and reliable power supply for critical broadcasting infrastructure – often at remote or grid-weak locations – we know the challenges of energy supply first-hand. The ongoing energy crisis in Europe, the rapid expansion of renewables and the increasing volatility of power grids have made one thing clear: flexibility and storage are the key to a stable and economical energy future.

That is why we established the new business unit STARWAVES Energy Solutions in 2025. We support project developers, farmers, municipalities and companies in the planning and realisation of large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) and intelligent energy solutions – with the same standards of independence, technical competence and economic efficiency that have defined STARWAVES for 30 years.

Our approach is deliberately partnership-oriented: We do not bring the land ourselves, but work closely with local landowners – whether as lessor or in participation models.

Current Project: Südniedersachsen BESS

One of our first flagship projects is the planned large-scale battery storage system in Southern Lower Saxony. Together with experienced industry partners, we are developing a modern BESS plant at a grid-technically attractive location. The project combines the highest technical standards with solid economic viability and makes a concrete contribution to grid stabilisation in the region.
