Supported Dongles for DRM/DAB+

For live reception, an SDR RF dongle must be connected to the device’s USB port (with USB host functionality). Please note that the requirements for DRM and DAB+ are different nd some dongles may onyl work on either standard.

Requirements for DRM: Bandwidths of  5, 9, 10, 18 and 20 kHz (AM Bands) and 100 kHz (FM Band). Some dongles may not support AM or FM. Some Dongles may not support 18 and 20 kHz modes.

Requirements for DAB+: VHF Band III; Bandwidth: 1.7 MHz.

The following SDR RF dongle families are currently supported, along with a range of specifically tested models:

–  Airspy HF+ family (DRM only):
Airspy HF Discovery, Airspy HF+ (Dual Port).
(Note: Airspy Mini and R2 are NOT supported.)

–  SDRplay family:
SDRPlay RSP1A, SDRPlay RSPdx, SDRPlay RSPduo, SDRPlay RSP1, SDRPlay RSP2, SDRPlay RSP2pro, MSI.SDR Panadapter – since the latest now available for all Android versions including 64-bit! – Please check which model supports DAB+ if required.

–  HackRF (DRM and DAB+)

–  RTL-SDR family:
Usually all RTL-SDR dongles support DAB+ and DRM at least in the FM Band. The support for RTL-SDR based RF dongles has been optimized and will automatically install the app ‘SDR driver’ by Martin Marinov can be installed from the Google Play Store  and other Android app stores if not already installed.
